وتحتضن المحافظة بعضا من أجمل الوجهات الطبيعية

تضم محافظة الداخلية جزءًا من سلسلة جبال الحجر، وتتكون من ثمان ولايات هي: أدم والحمراء و بهلاء و بدبد و إزكي و منح و نزوى بالإضافة إلى سمائل.
وتحتضن المحافظة بعضا من أجمل الوجهات الطبيعية في السلطنة من بينها جبل شمس والذي يعد أعلى قمة جبلية في السلطنة، إضافة إلى الجبل الأخضر الذي يشتهر بالمدرجات الزراعية التي تزرع فيها الزهور و الرمان وأنواع الفواكه المختلفة.

وتحتضن المحافظة بعضا من أجمل الوجهات الطبيعية في السلطنة من بينها جبل شمس والذي يعد أعلى قمة جبلية في السلطنة، إضافة إلى الجبل الأخضر الذي يشتهر بالمدرجات الزراعية التي تزرع فيها الزهور و الرمان وأنواع الفواكه المختلفة.
وتضم جبال الحجر كهف الهوتة وهو كهف طبيعي يقدر عمره بأكثر من مليوني سنة وهو غني بالتجمعات الكلسية كالصواعد والهوابط.

هنالك العديد من القلاع والحصون القديمة في عُمان التي تم ترميمها بشكل رائع وافتتاحها للزوار في المحافظة مثل قلعة بهلاء – أحد مواقع التراث العالمي المسجلة لدى اليونسكو- و قلعة نزوى، وحصن جبرين بالإضافة إلى سوق نزوى الشهير المجاور للقلعة.

Deserts

The interior of Oman is the gateway to one of the largest sand deserts in the world – the famous Empty Quarter or Rub Al Khali. Covering a large area of the Arabian Peninsula, this unique ecosystem is covered by sand dunes up to 250 metres in heights in certain areas, and salty planes in others.
