Seasons

Each season tells a unique experience

Because each season of the year provides unique experiences, such as watching turtles between May and September, going on desert adventures, hiking in the mountains, sailing, meditating, diving, snorkeling during the winter and summer seasons, picking Omani pomegranates in August and September or olives from September to November, and participating in the rosewater distillation season from March to May.

Due to Oman's unique geography, the Al Hajar Mountains have a milder climate than other wilayats, such as Wilayat Al Amarat in Muscat Governorate, which lies near the Tropic of Cancer. In Salalah, the Khareef season provides cloud cover and humidity, allowing travelers to change their plans according to the weather.

Summer

Oman's summer goes on from June to August. Summer temperatures generally range between 35°C and 45°C (95–113°F) in lowland areas, while the weather is milder in the mountainous regions and southern Oman.

Yes, the Governorate of Dhofar, in the south, enjoys the Khareef season, which features milder temperatures ranging from 20°C to 28°C (68°F to 82°F), lush flora, hazy scenery, and frankincense land and is one of the Omani heritage icons.
