Bait Al Zubair Museum
Bait Al Zubair Museum is one of Oman’s leading cultural institutions, located in the historic area of Muscat. Established in 1998 by the Zubair family, the museum reflects a deep commitment to preserving, documenting, and presenting Omani cultural heritage for local and international audiences. What began as a private family collection has evolved into a comprehensive museum complex that showcases Oman’s material culture, social history, traditional .This museum exhibits Omani collectibles, including traditional weapons, jewellery, clothing, old household items, and models representing rural and urban environments. It is distinguished by its integration of traditional Omani houses (buyūt) within a single cultural complex. Each bait has its own architectural character and curatorial focus, together forming a living cultural landscape that connects past, present, and future. It is an architectural icon honored with the first Sultan Qaboos Award for Architectural Excellence in 1999.

The museum is open from Saturday to Thursday, from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm.
Entry Fees
The entry fees are 1 Omani Rial for Omanis and GCC nationals, 3 Omani Rials for foreign visitors, while children under 12 years old can enter free of charge.
